We started today off with recording our voice overs using the Edirol R-09 then we took the recordings and put them onto the computer for editing using CS4 Premiere. We then got the Edirol back out and into action again this time taking it into the lifts over in Waveley so that we could record the sound effects of the lift doors opening and closing and also the lift voice. I hope security didn't mind myself and Will travelling up and down between floors 5 to 8 repeatedly until we were completely satisfied with the recordings, oh well!!!! Then it was a case of back to Premiere again for editing.
During the process of editing we dragged the recordings into Premiere and chopped and cut the required recordings until they were right. We then listened to them back to make sure they were ok before we started adding fade in and fade out to the recordings adjusting the fade as necessary. We then went back to editing the voice overs again adding the fade in and out and also adding an effect called dream maker (i think, i will double check that!). This effect made the voice over sound just the way we wanted it to.......high fives all round as we were pretty pleased to say the least with the way things were going. We were continuously watching sections over and over again moving and editing until we felt everything was just right.
We then got everything rendered & got it saved onto a portable hard drive and then onto Youtube and now here it is our very first attempt of a 'One Shot'. Take a look......................
