Here we go.....

I have just experienced introduction day to the Multimedia Course!!!

Well the usual situation took place first off, I am........, I like......., I am here because........you know how it is!!!
In the afternoon we moved onto the subject making 'Pinhole Camera's' or a camera using a beer can! Strangely enough it turned into quite a good getting to know you session in a slightly unusual manor invloving dodging people in a room while in complete darkness, this was all relevant to the process of creating our photo!
The activity involved cutting the top off a 440ml beer can and making a new lid from black card and gaffer tape to create a lid for the can that would shut out all light once placed back on top of the can. We also had to put a small pin hole in the side of the can (this is how the light would enter the can). The next step was to place a piece of photo paper inside the can while in a completely dark room (ensuring that the pin hole created is not covered by the paper, this hole should lie between the top & bottom of the paper once it is rolled up inside), then place the newly created lid back on top of the can & make sure the pin hole is covered by a small piece of tape.........There you have it your very own 'Can'mera'!!!! Then take the camera outside line it up for your desired shot, remove the tape from the pin hole for around 8 seconds then re-cover the hole & take back inside to develop in a dark room using the solutions...........and there you have it!!!!
